The Staghorn Fern derives its common name from its antler-shaped leaves. As many as 18 different species comprise the plants that make up this group. They belong to the genus Platycerium and their native range spans from Africa, through Southeast Asia and on to Australia. Interestingly, there’s only one species native to the Americas— Platycerium andinum.

Care Instructions: Bright indirect light. Direct sun will scorch leaves. Water when leaves begin to wilt. Use loose well-draining soil. Maintain temperatures above 40 ˚F.
